I would like to start by wishing the proposed judge Mr Peter Grant a speedy recovery. Due to an error with my entry, I was planning to travel up without hounds to spend some quality time with my long-time dear friends Nell and Donald MacBean and enjoy the atmosphere of the show. I was not expecting to be asked to judge but delighted to accept the offer and be able to help out at short notice. Traffic and road works on the approach to the venue meant a delay to judging in order to accommodate late arrivals. The mountainous backdrop to the venue is absolutely stunning and well worth the journey just to view this. Thank you to the exhibitors for their understanding of the change of judge and exhibiting their lovely hounds in front of me.
